Track new NBA fashion this season: Pistons velvet jerseys, Cavaliers rebranding among the shirts revealed for 2022-23

A new season on the horizon means a new look for some teams around the NBA, with many teams dropping new leads ahead of the 2022-23 season.

With the Nike Union Edition, Icon, Classic Edition and Statement Edition shirts, teams have more options than ever to bring back the vintage look, with some of our favorite shirts being reborn for 2022-23.

Sports news has you covered with all the latest T-shirt releases from across the league.

Milwaukee Bucks

The Bucks recreate the same version of their Manifesto costume from last season, only in a different color.

And the man did it right with these black people.

Milwaukee retained the antler theme on the sides, as well as the blue accent on the trim. There’s just something about a black outfit that helps bring out the cream color even more.

Detroit Pistons

It’s a new era in Detroit and they’re tapping into their past, bringing back the greenish uniforms, which served as their road jerseys from 1996-2001.

The classic teal uniform is expected to be worn in approximately 10 matches during the 2022-23 season, bringing back memories of the era of Grant Hill, Jerry Stackhouse.

More importantly, it marks the return of the “Horsehead” logo, a fitting tribute to Motor City.

“To Pistons fans everywhere – we heard you, and this is for you,” he said. Mike Zavodsky, Chief Business Officer, Detroit Pistons.

“The blue jerseys represent a ‘colorful’ period in Pistons basketball history and NBA history. We are thrilled to reintroduce Teal to a new generation of basketball fans, and can’t wait to see this version of the Detroit basketball suit worn.”

San Antonio Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs’ signature silver and black threads are a staple in the NBA, but next season they’re adding some flair to their statement-making uniform.

The shirt features the new SATX sub-logo with distinctive sides Patterns inspired by traditional Mexican blankets and saddle blankets.

The release of the manifesto is one of five shirts Tottenham will rotate in next season, with a new City Edition Uniform to be revealed later this year.

Cleveland Cavaliers

It’s a complete rebranding of the Cleveland Cavaliers next season with a new line-up of jerseys that include the uniform (white), the icon (wine) and the basic uniform (black).

Jordan’s Manifesto Edition uniform takes inspiration from the black jerseys worn in Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals, the first-ever NBA Championship.

Utah Jazz

It’s a whole new look for the Utah Jazz next season after they unveiled a new collection of uniforms.

The Jazz team is bringing back the classic mountain purple uniform, worn between 1996-2004, including two trips to the NBA FInals in 1997 and 1998. It also made a brief return in 2019-20 as the classic team uniform.

The purple shirt will serve as the primary outfit, while the white, black and yellow will serve as alternate colors.

Along with the new leads, the Jazz will also introduce two accompanying court designs at the Vivint Arena in line with the new uniforms – one featuring a purple mountain and the second with a back and yellow design featuring the iconic Jazz Note.

Both courts will also include a logo for the 2023 NBA All-Star Game.

We will continue to update this page as more uniforms are released.
