New MCU Freshman Year Revealed (Exclusive)

Spider-Man: Year One Marvel fans had a blast during the Marvel Studios Animation panel at San Diego Comic-Con this past weekend. The series is described as having happened before Captain America: Civil Warfollowing Peter Parker through New York City with characters like Doc Ock, Norman Osborn, Harry Osborn and Nico Minoru, Daredevil Charlie CoxAnd Doctor Strange and more. However, the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Earth-616 story appears to have plot lines that would conflict with Spider-Man having interacted with those characters in the past. So, the question “How do you do Spider-Man: Year One Fit into the main MCU schedule? “I grew up and the answer seems to be, ‘It’s not.’ “

Brad Winderbaum has played an integral role at Marvel Studios over the years, serving as executive producer on titles such as Thor: love and thunder, What if…?, and more with producer credits on past projects, too. Previously as Executive Director of Production and Development at Marvel Studios, Winderbaum is now the president of live broadcasting for the franchise and has appeared on the Marvel Studios Animation panel, where he looks at Spider-Man: Year One Provided (along with the next I grew up series of short films). in promoting I grew upWinderbaum spoke to ComicBook.com in an interview on phase zero YouTube channel where I opened around Spider-Man: New Yearplace in the MCU.

“Well, like we said, in the painting, it follows the pattern you see in it [Captain America:] Civil warWinderbaum said about the animation Spider Man series. Right down to Peter who fetches his broken Blu-ray player from the trash and walks to his section for the famous moment where Tony Stark is waiting for him to give him a rigorous training and take him to Berlin. But due to the things that happen in the multiverse due to new random events, it is not Tony Stark who is waiting for him There. It’s Norman Osborne who sends his life down an unexpected path that collides with many unexpected characters in the Marvel universe.”

Originally described as having occurred before the events of Captain America: Civil War (which still seems right), Spider-Man: Year One Looks like he’ll also take an angle What if…? Episode as a complete series. On this show, the question seems to be, “What if Norman Osborne became Peter Parker’s mentor instead of Tony Stark?” The answer includes interactions with characters like Daredevil and Amadeus Cho, neither of which is mentioned in Peter Parker’s MCU’s Journey on Earth-616 (as it was named in Doctor Strange in a multiverse of madness). It’s unclear whether or not this has any bearing on the story in Earth-616, although raids between universes seem imminent. Avengers: Secret Wars It was announced as the finale of the Multiverse Saga series. Any of the stories Marvel Studios tells across the multiverse could find themselves cross-legged with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, if the writers saw fit.

Spider-Man: Year One It is set to premiere at Disney+ in 2024, with season two already starting in the form of Spider-Man: Year Two.
